“Huh,” Mitsuki says, staring down at the newborns in her arms. The screeching one’s hair is the same shade of blond as her own, while the other’s is a pale silver instead. Not a color that runs in either of their families, but stranger things have happened. “Guess they’ll be easy to tell apart, at least.”

His dreams are a maelstrom of grief and fear, his mind overwhelmed with a lifetime of emotions his brain isn't developed enough to comprehend. There's an ingrained instinct blaring that everything is wrong wrong wrong.

"It can't be," a man in green breathes. "After all these years? Here?"
Kakashi palms a kunai, watching him warily. No one here seems like much of a threat, but there are way too many unknowns to take any chances. He lightens his tone when he speaks. "Ah, it seems I've gotten a bit lost. Mind telling me where we are?"
The soldier who'd initially shot fire at him raises a shaking hand, pointing at Kakashi. "I saw you. You bent both earth and air."
The crowd watches him with growing recognition. Murmurs turn to shouts, and to Kakashi's bemusement, a war cry starts echoing.
"The Avatar has returned!"

Summary
When Shouta first opens his eyes, he’s not quite sure what happened or where he is. The light streaming in through a window suggests it’s midday, but the last thing he remembers is being out on patrol in the middle of the night.
He pulls out his phone to check the time, but it’s not his phone. No… it’s one of his old phones. He’s pretty sure he broke this one in a fight. Yet here it is, working fine sans a few cracks in the screen.
The date on the lock screen is wrong. The year is even more wrong. He checks his texts, the internet, his emails, just in case Hitoshi decided to play some sort of prank on him, but everything he can find lines up with the year emblazoned on the calendar.
Shouta is ten years in his own past.

Summary
“So,” Nedzu says pleasantly, “you’re Shinsou Hitoshi?”
“That’s ridiculous,” Aizawa states. He crosses his arms across his chest, eyeing Hitoshi through his hair with an unreadable expression. “They don’t even look alike.”
Hitoshi fidgets uncomfortably in the seat across from Nedzu’s desk. What is he supposed to say? Nothing’s made any sense since last night. Everything’s changed around him, and now there’s a boy claiming to be him – who everyone seems to believe is the real Hitoshi – sitting on Aizawa’s other side.
But… he barely even resembles Hitoshi. His hair is silvery-white instead of purple. His right eye is violet like Hitoshi’s, but the left eye is red instead with an odd dotted pattern in it.

Summary
It takes a village to raise a kid. Hatake Kakashi may be a child again, but he lost his own village years ago. As Shinsou Hitoshi, he has little interest in finding another family. It's never ended well in the past, after all. But somehow, he's still managed to end up with two Pro Heroes in his life that care way too much about him. It's... surprisingly nice.
Letting himself care about them in return is a bit more daunting, though.

He is sure he shouldn't be here, wherever here actually is. He wakes up in a sea of confusing memories and emotions that don't belong to him and realizes he no longer has a physical body - instead, he seems to be made up of some sort of immaterial shadowy matter.
Oh, and he's trapped inside a four-year-old avian child who's terrified of him.

Zuko isn’t sent to capture the Avatar after his Agni Kai. Instead, his banishment is permanent. No exceptions. No opportunity to regain his honor. He’s unceremoniously dumped in the Earth Kingdom and left with nothing but a debilitating scar and an uncle who still claims he cares.
An assassination attempt quickly proves that his father isn’t satisfied with just exiling him. He and Iroh decide to hide out in the remote town of Gaoling, one of the few places overlooked by the Fire Nation due to its strategic unimportance.
Zuko’s pretty sure the Spirits hate him. Well, that’s fine. He hates them too.

"Why do you have a clip on your arm?" Shigeo questions. His fingers reach up and tug inquisitively on the rusted metal tab welded onto Serizawa's left shield, the plastic worn off long ago. Bits of dust and dirt crumble to the ground as the wire grates with its first movement in decades.
An internal system alarm activates at the physical contact, like it does every time someone touches him. Serizawa dismisses it immediately and tilts his panel a little lower so Shigeo can reach it more easily, mulling over his answer for a few seconds longer than he strictly needs to.

Summary
Reigen never planned on having kids. His relationships have always been short and shallow, he doesn't really care for the idea of marriage (except for the tax breaks), and that's without even considering his lack of interest in women. Reigen can barely take care of himself half the time. The point is, he’d make a terrible parent.
Letting Teruki stay on his spare futon after the kid’s apartment was destroyed during the Claw attack was an impulse decision. Reigen never had any illusions that he was a good guy, but he wasn’t such an asshole that he’d let a fourteen-year-old stay on the streets alone. They'd find Teru's parents any day now, and everything would go back to normal. Teru's lack of concern over their whereabouts was weird, but surely no parent in their right mind would ever leave their kid on his own without even a phone call to let him know they were alive.

Serizawa knows next to nothing about Reigen's past. Reigen never brings it up and although Serizawa's curious, he doesn’t ask. It’s not his place. Besides, it doesn't really matter, does it?
It does. And when Serizawa is sent eighteen years into the past, trapped in the body of his fourteen-year-old self, he realizes how wrong he was. Because now Reigen is dead, and Serizawa will do whatever it takes to keep that future from becoming a permanent reality.
