After making sure the thing in the house was satisfied with how much it scared him, Adam got to gathering his scarse belongings, his brain empty and still and his ears ringing. In his trance, he tried to contact Jonah a couple times, but there was no answer. He was trying not to mull over what he saw yet, but it played over and over in his mind like a broken record, making no sense. This… Creature, this mind-hunting demon or alien or whatever, has done something strange to him. It gave him a sense of some twisted connection, made him feel something close to empathy, if empathy could go in the negatives.
