“Happy birthday, Cyno.”
“You remembered?”
“Nonsense, Cyno. You’re my best friend. You should blow out the candle before the wax melts too far!”
As instructed, Cyno leaned in, letting out a quick puff of air to blow out the candle. The smoke curled off the newly extinguished candle, a wisp of gray that quickly dissipated into the air around them.
“Did you make a wish?” Tighnari asked.
“Yes.”
“What was the wish?”
“I can’t tell you. It won’t come true like that.”
In the summer, Tighnari spends all his time alone until he meets Cyno, a boy his age who seemingly has no one else. Yet, he keeps many secrets, and Tighnari would do anything to uncover them.

“You smell…” Tighnari paused, taking in a deep inhale – he smelled of the sands, golden grains sifting through fingers. He smelled of static electricity, a thunderstorm brewing in the distance. He smelled of sunshine and Ajilenakh nuts. Most distinctly, he smelled of home, even if Tighnari didn’t know why he related it to the idea of home, “... Comforting – like something familiar.”
tighnari experiences a life-threatening injury that leaves him without any of his recent memories. cyno is there when he wakes. together they fall apart (or, in love)

Summary
When Cyno uncovers a plot involving embezzled funds and Kshahrewar Architects he has no idea it would lead all the way to the Sages and eventually, the false god. The schemes he gets swept up in with the Traveler and Alhaitham leave no room for error or doubt, but the secrets he holds about Tighnari get heavier and heavier.

Summary
Every year, Tighnari disappears for two weeks. He doesn't tell anyone where he is going, or why, and whoever dares to ask him about it is silenced with a pointed glare. This year, Cyno runs into him by accident.
Even from the distance Cyno can see the dilation of Tighnari’s pupils, the flush creeping all the way down Tighnari’s neck. Vaguely he registers that Tighnari is not wearing his usual ranger outfit but loose-fitting white robes instead, bound around his waist but slipping off his shoulders, showing more skin than they’re hiding. Tighnari’s hair is matted with sweat, sticking to his skin.
