Summary
Tadashi takes a bullet for the love of his life. Ainosuke gets a crash course in what love really is.
Gone is the mask he usually wears in public. Those stupid eyebrows look stupider when they’re arched down like that. “Why are you lying there?” he’s asking now. “I told you to get up.”
Tadashi tries to speak but his body fails him the most frustrating way. This had better kill him, he decides, or it is the most embarrassing way he could possibly have gone. The most useless. The most stupid. There are cameras, he realizes, distantly. This will be recorded. He can’t be this sad.
Mustering every bit of agonized strength left in him, he lifts his arm, reaches, but his coordination is shot. He’s aiming for Ainosuke’s cheek but hits his lapel instead and grips it, because if he doesn’t, his arm will fall again.
“Ainosuke,” he starts, tastes blood, stops. Ainosuke leans closer. “You really are stupid."

“Where is my son, Malfoy?”
Draco rolled his eyes and entered the living room, finding his favorite armchair and collapsing in it. His book was still open on the side table, marked with a green ribbon. He grabbed it before flicking his wand so his voice echoed over the manor.
“The unfortunately named Albus Severus Potter is being requested in the living area. If you could please hurry, that would be greatly appreciated. I repeat, this announcement is for the tragically named Albus Severus Potter. Your presence has been requested by the Chosen One himself. Thank you.”
Potter remained unamused. “Next time my son comes here, I would appreciate it if you would inform me,” he said coolly.
Draco scoffed, opening his book before fixing him with an incredulous look. “Perhaps,” he said, taking out his bookmark, “and I do mean this politely, Potter, but perhaps you should be the one to keep track of your children.” He flipped a page. “As a friendly suggestion.”

Summary
Harry did not think his adult life would ever involve Draco Malfoy. But it turns out, as it becomes clear that Albus and Scorpius are inseparable, that they will in fact have to deal with each other quite regularly.
Harry doesn’t buy what he’s heard about Malfoy being reformed. Harry doesn’t buy that they were ‘rivals’ in their youth, rather than an aggressor and a victim. Harry needs to find a way to get along with Malfoy and make peace with their childhood without rewriting history.
Draco may not have always been perfect, but now he just wants Scorpius to be happy.
