Summary
After watching Arcane, I wanted to write this story, which takes place about one or two years before Act II of Season 1. It will slightly change some plots, perhaps in terms of logic or narrative coherence with the series.
I wanted to explore how Jinx’s cloud-shaped tattoos might have come to be, how they could hold a deep personal meaning, tied to a story of friendship, or perhaps something more delving into a potential side of her teenage years. A time when she was perhaps less chaotic, but more private and introspective.
Her encounter with the main character of my story, Leon, a slightly older tattoo artist, will stir new insecurities beneath the armor she has built from years of pain and anger. Together, they will develop a connection built on meetings, the exchange of personal stories, and complex emotions, but also on unpleasant encounters and turbulent pasts that will resurface one way or another.
I hope you enjoy how I’ve tried to show a different side of Jinx compared to the version we see in the first season—one that will ultimately play a key role in shaping her into who she becomes. -
