If one suspects strangers of causing the apocalypse, one generally should not allow them to continue to roam free. They should ideally be restrained until their innocence (or guilt) can be proven. Even if one of them is a child and openly sobbing at the thought of her only family hating her. Even if the other one's absence is probably going to be noticed by a very large, very dangerous Pokémon.
Elsewhere, the rift spits out a man in white. He's not her Warden, but Sneasler will take all the help she can get in finding him.

Emmet had spent years wishng for his brothers return. Even when he had moved on with his life, accepted that Ingo couldn't be found, he had still hoped that he would see him safely returned. But not like this. Maybe it would have been kinder, if Ingo had just been killed all those years ago. Because if Ingo had been killed, at least he wouldn't have suffered for long.
But no. Ingo is not dead. He was found in Sinnoh. He is alive (if barely). And Emmet is verrrry relieved to finally have him back.
But Emmet is not happy. Far from it. As he stares at the torn and crumpled medical record lying on the floor, Emmet knows that he will only be happy again once those who have hurt (tortured, mutilated) his brother are dead by his hands.
