His fingers flew across the controls as he navigated his island. The gentle tune of Animal Crossing hummed from his console.
Unknown to Kenma, Kuroo flinched at the sounds of Animal Crossing coming from Kenma's bedroom. He knew from experience that Animal Crossing is Kenma's comfort game, so Kenma must be struggling tonight. Kuroo shoved his shoulders back and gently opened the door.
Kenma's bloodshot eyes meet Kuroo's as the light floods in from the hallway. The brightness from the hallway, combined with the puffy soreness of his eyes, had Kenma flinching down into his copious amount of blankets.

Kuroo drys his hair carefully. The towel he uses isn’t one that Kenma usually bothers to pull out: it’s too soft, too careful, and Kenma has always preferred just getting his hair over and done with when he does bother with it. Neither of them speak. It’s a comfortable silence.
