There are two bottles of pills under Seonghwa’s bed, each hidden in a worn out high top sneaker that he’s been too sentimental to throw out. Each palm-sized bottle is a stark white plastic with a child-proof safety cap and no label, housing around one hundred or so pills that Seonghwa gets refilled every three months like clockwork. One flat, white tablet a day smothers his omegan biology, suppresses his heats, and prevents him from producing slick. A slightly green-tinged capsule conceals his scent and stifles any remaining omega instincts he may have. Paired together they make Seonghwa the picture perfect beta.
Two pills once a day to be able to live out his dream with the people he loves, with those his heart has chosen as pack. It’s not a hard choice at all.
