Summary
Harry Potter was Sorted into Slytherin after a crappy childhood. His brother Jim is believed to be the Boy Who Lived. This will not be the story you expect; follow Harry through a changed world as he learns of a world that was hidden from him, battles prophecies kept from him, and finds a place in it all despite adversity.
Year Four (Harry Black and the Resurrection Game) is currently ongoing. No romantic pairings prior to Fourth Year. Basically good Dumbledore and Weasleys, with limited bashing (mainly of James). Eldritch magic, and occasional breaks from canon - always with a purpose.

Summary
When a throw-away comment about the Boy-Who-Lived catches Lucius Malfoy by surprise, he starts to investigate about the boy’s whereabouts. Finding the Saviour of the Wizarding World treated like a common house-elf is not at all what he expected. Not one to let an opportunity pass when it presents itself, he takes Harry in as his ward before someone else can whisk him away, securing the boy’s fame and power for himself and giving him the education he is sorely lacking.
Locked into his room by the Dursleys and half starved to death, Harry hasn’t much hope that anything will change until he goes back to Hogwarts. But then Draco Malfoy’s father shows up of all people and offers him a place at Malfoy Manor.
Highly suspicious at first, he finds that the Malfoys are kinder than he expected and Harry slowly starts to let himself believe that things might be looking up for him at once. But those around him are not as trusting as he is and when Dumbledore tries to warn Harry away from the Malfoys, Harry will have to fight to keep his new-found family and keep the fragile trust he has in them. -

Summary
Loki’s fingers, pale, thin things with the nails chewed off, dig into the flesh of his own palm. It’s hard to reconcile the Loki who killed eighty people in one day with the Loki that’s now sitting next to them, who’s trying to reduce the points of impact by holding himself tightly. It makes Tony wonder if maybe they were wrong about a few things.

Harry’s skin prickled. He swallowed. “They’re… they’re my family.” The word tasted sour even as he said it.
“Family?” The laugh was harsh and mirthless, as it cut through Harry like a knife. “Fools who starve you, beat you and chain you in this box—they are not family. They are cattle. If I were flesh and stood in this house, they would not live to take another breath. I would see their throats cut before they laid a hand on you.”
Harry froze as his breath caught in his chest. He knew he ought to be terrified. The voice was cruel and frightening, promising death as if it were nothing. Yet something twisted inside him. Strange and small. The Dursleys never protected him. Never cared if he was hurt. But here was a voice, wicked and cold, saying it would stop them. Saying he didn’t deserve this.
He whispered into the dark, “You… you’d do that? For me?”
