Summary
Dennis Whitaker has spent far too long mistaking being wanted for being chosen.
Robby has always been the moon in his sky—close enough to pull at him, distant enough to disappear whenever Dennis reaches back. Jack Abbot is something else entirely: steady, infuriating, impossible to ignore, and far warmer than Dennis ever expected him to be.
After one disastrous night at the Pitt pushes Dennis closer to the edge than anyone realizes, the careful distance between the three of them begins to collapse. Old feelings refuse to stay buried, new ones take root where none of them belong, and jealousy makes it increasingly difficult to pretend that what exists between them can still be divided into neat, separate pieces.
Robby has history with Dennis.
Jack has history with Robby.
And somehow, Dennis finds himself caught in the gravity between them both.
He has always thought of himself as a lonely star.
But the moon keeps coming back, the sun refuses to leave, and sooner or later, all three of them are going to have to decide what happens when their orbits finally collide.

Summary
It was supposed to be the happiest day of his life, getting married to Robby, surrounded by all their friends. Dennis should've been happy. So why wasn't he? And why did it seem like Jack understood every ounce of his pain? It would be wrong to run, he knew as much, but he felt like he was damning himself to a future being nothing more than Robby's trophy husband.
With Jack, there was mystery.
