    Greta wasn't pretty. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But Greta herself acknowledged that she didn't look particularly good compared to the rest of the goetic demons. Being an unfortunate combination of street pigeon and goose, she couldn't compete with the shimmering feathers of her kin.
    But her looks alone did not make her the laughing stock among her siblings. No, something else was responsible for that: her voice.
    One of her sisters had once described her voice as the equivalent of a grotesque fusion of goose-quacking, chalk squeaking on the blackboard and the death scream of a banshee. In short, even those around her who did not simply order her to be quiet were grateful when she communicated by gesture or in writing.

    But one day, when she was humming quietly to herself - assuming she was alone - none other than the Sin of Wrath, Satan, overheard her melody. And to the great bewilderment of both of them, her voice seemed to sound completely different to the de facto reigning ruler of hell than to the rest of hell...

    Nothing had ever soothed Satan's rage faster than Greta's voice.
