Jaspers firm hand grabs his jaw and tilts his head upwards into the light, his warm skin is a stark contrast to the cold air as his fingers dig into Simons cheeks. His own hands are shaking now, and as he tries to pull his face away Jasper his hand only seems to tighten.
“get off me!” Simon snarls, and with a sharp tug he wrestles his face loose. Silence seems to settle over the group and as he sees a flicker of recognition from buzzcut guy still standing in front of him, his knees go weak.
“wait, you’re the guy from that viral video. The singer right?”
Beside him Jasper laughs, “no shit, I remember him from school. You think you’re too good for us now. Is that it?”
The judging tone in his voice stings, “Of course not, just let me go I need to get home before-“

“Okay, right, so…” Wilhelm straightens up, pulling himself back into the conversation. He squeezes his eyes shut for a moment as though trying to concentrate. “Right. So this was my first thought, in big letters all down this arm: ‘Fuck The Monarchy’.”

“I think we should go camping!”
The statement was screeched over the deafening howls of the wind streaming fiercely through the rolled-down windows of the ancient Volvo, blending seamlessly into the harmonies of the song blasted on the flimsy radio. Wilhelm only caught the words when Felice twirled around in the passenger seat to parrot them. Her lustrous dark curls tangled into shimmery lip gloss and she reached to tuck the offending strands of hair behind her ear, allowing Wille a peek at the spark of sheer excitement swaying in her eyes.
(or: Wille, Simon, Sara and Felice decide to go back to Talludden as a reward for surviving an eventful school year.)

Wilhelm feels the blush on his cheeks deepen upon hearing his name on the boy’s lips. He can’t seem to find his voice again, his mind going blank. Felice did tell him what she wanted to order, right?
The waiter must have noticed he’s struggling but he only smiles a little, almost like he’s holding back a chuckle. Which does not help Wilhelm, because if his neutral, slightly tired expression was attractive before, now he’s just… wow, Wille’s brain shuts down again."
Wilhelm and Simon meet at the pizzeria in Bjärstad.
