Alex Russo was the all time player. He moved through ladies like a cyclone moved through a city, living brokenness and fear in his wake. Maybe he had a heart, but the only ones to have seen it might have been his sister and his half brother. These were the only people with whom Alex was caught sharing a laugh with once in a while. Everyone else in the business knew him as "The Devil Wolf", "Red Demon", or now popular to him, "The Dark Alpha."
He doesn't have time for dating. He doesn't really know how to take care of a girlfriend... or boyfriend at that. He is ruthless to anyone who isn't family. He is a sexual sadist. So really, at 28, he has no plans of marriage.
Teresa Moroe just has to keep running. Why?

Finally, mercifully, the school year ends. The last few days pass even more slowly than usual because since they’d -- for all intents and purposes, even though it makes Stiles giggle every time he thinks the word -- mated, being away from Derek was nothing short of excruciating. Not like it wasn’t before, but that was nothing compared to what it was like now. That had been a paper cut. A mere annoyance, like a buzzing fly.
A fly could be swatted.
This, on the other hand, may as well be a gaping wound.

Summary
Stiles accepted a long time ago that he is going to be nothing but a town delinquent who works for Deucalion and rides a skateboard. His real problem, is that his father is an abusive drunk who's only furthered Stiles' influence in believing he won't achieve anything outside of Beacon Hills. Enter Derek, a brooding senior who wears leather jackets like a character out of Grease, rides around in his crazy, out-of-place expensive car and who wants to help Stiles get out of the mess that has become his life.
Trouble is, Stiles' father is the town sheriff, and Stiles refuses to believe anyone wants to help him.
