She follows after them, humouring herself with their remarks and eventually thinks, is being alone really worth it?

That precious day where he held you as you finally admitted that you wanted children with him afraid of what he might say. He’d always said he loved to teach, that he loved you. But children of your own, you knew that could be a deal breaker. And yet he said yes, he said yes before taking you by the hand to the bedroom as if simply making the decision would instantly result in conception.

As Gale unties them you almost consider telling him to stop, that instead he should take you somewhere private but you know it’s not something he would approve of, he would never want to hurt you.
