But you're probably wondering what the story's actually about. It all starts with a mysterious flash of light granting five teen/young adults some incredible abilities. They realize that they're in a unique position to help humanity... that is, if they were able to. An enigmatic force is hunting them. And to top it off, they're all dealing with personal conflicts. Not only do these five have to save the world, but they have to save themselves as well! Figuratively and literally!

Ever since he met Timothy Drake, he knew what he was.
There was no denying that paleness, that aversion to the sun, that thin frame from hunger because surely, whatever blood he could get wasn’t enough. Or the way he seemed to blend into the shadows no matter how well lit the room was if you didn’t pay attention.Or, the one in which Damian thinks Tim is a vampire.
Tim had always wanted a sibling. He daydreamed often about having a little brother or sister, he had wanted it so badly.
Then, he got Damian. And he regretted even thinking about wanting a little sibling.
Even putting the whole “he wants to kill me” thing aside, the kid was so weird. Threatening him with putting silver in his suit as if he were talking about acid, carving a wooden stake as he glared at him after he beat him to the Batmobile’s passenger seat, hastily closing the curtains as he crawled out of his room to get more coffee, solemnly offering to help him get blood.
Weird, really.
Or, how Damian, out of all people, and mistaken as fuck, is the one to show Tim he’s part of the family. On his own way, of course.
