Summary
Jisung looked up at the leader calmly, still gasping lightly from the previous kick and said “You won’t find them. They are gone.” His voice was deceptively deep. Deeper than his frame would suggest and the way that he looked at Chan, it gave the young leader pause.
Jisung held the flames of a thousand fires in his eyes but he also looked like he knew his fate had just caught up to him. Usually, at this point, with the 7 assassins in the room with their victim, the victim would start begging them for mercy. It was how it always worked. It was what the boys were used to but not this time.
This time, Han looked defiantly in the eyes of the merciless leader of one of the deadliest assassins in the business and he didn’t hold an ounce of fear in his eyes.
Minho kicked Han again in the stomach and this time blood trickled down between the boy’s parted lips instead of bile. He wheezed as Jeongin yanked his hair back to expose his face to the room. “Where are the kids, Han Jisung?” This time the youngest assassin had a sharp edge to his tone. A warning and a promise.
Through lidded eyes Jisung looked at the fox-eyed boy in front of him and panted “gone” softly, his voice breaking but his gaze steady.

That was news to Chan and he found himself at a momentary loss for words as his brain tried to work through the unexpected revelation. Before he could even begin to come to terms with it, Minho’s eyes lit up with an alarming amount of mischief. It was an expression Chan had learned to fear a long time ago.
“I call it ‘absolutely whipped’ with a sprinkle of love sickness and bumbling adoration.”
Or: Chan is trying to figure out the perfect tattoo for Jisung. Jisung is waiting for Chan to figure out much more than that.
