He gets some water and sits across Bob. He feels the other’s eyes on him.
“What about you? Can’t sleep, either?”
“What gave it away?” John teases.
“Asshole,” Bob chuckles.
John is way too pleased that he made Bob laugh. He likes this— this easy thing between them.
