Before she could really stop herself her arms were around Jack, pulling him into a kiss more passionate that she’d have allowed herself had she been sober. The noise of the rooftop faded into the background as his hands settled on her waist.
But as the fireworks exploded in the sky above, the kiss felt more like an escape than a celebration. She pulled back slightly, scanning his face and looking almost disappointed.
“Happy New Year,” Jack whispered, giving her that charming smile that almost made her forget why she’d ever consider leaving.
Claire forced a smile in return, her hands dropping to his chest. “Happy New Year.”
She tried to soak it in, to ground herself in the moment, but her gaze betrayed her. It drifted again— inevitably, stupidly— to Leon.

“Koo, I have to make sure,” Hoseok straightened his back. His heart was pounding all the way up in his head. “Are you asking me to have sex with you?”
There was silence and Jungkook nervously bit his bottom lip.
“I’m not asking. Just…” Jungkook once again hugged his knees, gaze falling down to his toes, which he wiggled to take his mind off of things. “I really think I’m ready, but the only person I can imagine being with is you. You don’t have to do anything. We can forget I said anything. But if you want to, I would like you to be my first.”
There was something about the way Jungkook said it that made Hoseok’s heart flutter.

"Kita makan salmon sebentar nanti. Kau bisa makan salmon? Sudah tidak mual?" tanya Taehyung. Yoongi mengangguk mantap, ia yakin bisa menghabiskan apa saja yang tersaji di hadapannya dalam sekejap seperti mesin penyedot debu.
"Apa nama tempatnya? Mount Cook Salmon?" tanya Yoongi.
"Mount Cook Alpine Salmon, Sayang. Namjoon bilang salmon disana sangat segar." Yoongi menghela napas mendengarnya. Kepalanya tiba-tiba dipenuhi oleh visual nasi hangat yang masih mengepul dari dalam penanak nasi.
"Aku jadi ingin nasi. Ikan dan nasi terdengar sangat enak." keluhnya. Taehyung tertawa gemas.
"Tambahkan sambal dengan jeruk limau dan lalapan, maka kau benar-benar terdengar seperti orang Indonesia." Yoongi tersenyum lebar, bahagia hanya dengan membayangkan menu sederhana yang mengundang nafsu makannya itu.
