Summary
The Clone War may have begun, but the social events on Coruscant continue. Obi-Wan Kenobi shows up unexpectedly at the Senators' Ball; in truth he's there to meet with Padmé Amidala.
In Attack of the Clones, Obi-Wan is suspicious of politicians, including Padmé. This is a little missing scene to explain how he overcame that suspicion, and began to build a friendship with Padmé... and perhaps something more...

The light never entirely went out, though it did grow very dark, the rush of cosmic wind stilled to nothing, and even the presence of Jayce, the warmth of his brow, the weight of his hand on Viktor’s neck, faded away...
Jayce and Viktor stop the "Glorious Evolution" and disintegrate together into the hexcrystal... but it's not the end. They find themselves somewhere new.
After everything he's done, after Jayce's love saves him, I think Viktor would be on the edge of an emotional overload, this fic is a short exploration of what he's going through.

Summary
In the midst of the Clone War, Padmé Amidala and Obi-Wan Kenobi are sent on a diplomatic mission to bring an isolated planet into the Republic fold. Simple enough, until they fall in love with the planet... and with each other. With Padmé married and Obi-Wan a Jedi, they can't do anything about being in love without challenging everything they stand for. But, if their mission is to bring war to a planet they care about, then perhaps their beliefs deserve to be challenged.

When Viktor finally asks why Jayce stayed behind inside the Anomaly with him, Jayce stares at him as though he’s supremely disappointed by the question— as if Viktor has betrayed his own brilliance by asking something so irredeemably stupid. “How could I not? We’re partners.”
Partners, Jayce calls them. Not for the first time, Viktor wonders: Partners in what?
