Summary
With a groan of frustration, he heaves the largest rock yet over the falls. A small cry floats up from the bottom of the ravine. With a jolt, Jayce rushes to the edge of the ledge. Below him, another boy about his own age is sitting on the shore of the river. He looks up at Jayce owlishly while cradling what appears to be a small boat in his arms.
A chance encounter one summer's day leads to an instant connection between two boys from opposite sides of the river. Together, they embark on a lifelong journey of scientific innovation and discovery, even as fate seems determined to drive them apart.

"Will!" Mike crashes to the ground next to him. Gets a good look at him.
Wills eyes are dazed slightly. They latch on to Mike anyways and he seems to sag with relief. The blood from Wills nose falls onto his lip. Into his mouth.
"That was- that was amazing!" Mike brings his sleeve up and wipes the blood away. He opens his arms and lets Will collapse against him, head resting on Mikes chest and Mike doesn't even think twice about how intimate it should feel.
