Pantalone indulges him with a knowing smile. “You, of all people, should appreciate the beauty of precise knifework.” His thumb smooths over Dottore’s pulse before he cups his hand and feels the ripple of a swallow against his palm. “Be good for me, won’t you? I promise to make it good for you, too.”
Dottore has returned from Nod-Krai. Pantalone claims his prize. This is the fervour of long-distance romance.
