Summary
What if She-Ra never came when Adora held Catra's body on Prime's ship?
What if Adora surrendered to Horde Prime?
A canon-divergent reimagination of the episode - "Save the Cat"CW: reader discretion is advised.
This story contains themes of death & resurrection (temporary major character death), grief, depression, psychological manipulation, body horror, religious indoctrination, identity loss, possession, and themes of self-blame and hopelessness.
Additional warning include graphic depictions of injury, detailed resurrection imagery, emotional breakdowns, dissociation, and trauma-related panic.
There are also elements of cult imagery, forced transformation, mind control, as well as consensual sexual content in later chapters.
Please read with care if you are sensitive to any of the above mentioned topics.
The story ultimately resolves in healing, love and recovery but the journey there is dark.

Summary
They stayed like that. Looking at each other. Catra was ethereal under the flash of lights. Her smile tugged on her lips with as much mischief as gentleness too. Adora was caught off guard.
She’d never seen Catra so soft before. She looked good. Adora admitted she liked seeing Catra relaxed, having a good time.
She then recalled their position and Adora couldn’t help but flash once more. Catra holding her like this had chills running down her spine. But also, she felt flattered. Or more like flustered?
Wait- why would she be flustered? No, Adora wasn’t making any sense. Her brain wasn’t functioning properly.
Catra pulled them upwards. Instead of putting distance however she kept one hand on the blonde’s arm. She gave her infamous laugh. “Oh, man, that was a blast! What do you think, ‘dors?”
Adora tried to speak. She opened her mouth then closed it. She couldn’t put her thoughts in words. Catra laughed again. This time fondly. Adora felt her heart aching.
It’d been so long.
