    There was an unexpected beat of silence from Whitaker, who he hadn’t noticed had turned almost completely to face him, both of his thighs on either side of Robby’s knee, leaning his chin on his palm.
    “I’m not that young.”
    Robby shot him a questioning look.
    “C’mon, don’t kiss up to me off the clock. I’m old enough to be your dad.”

    At that, Dennis seemed to think, his eyes considering Robby for a second before landing on his finished drink, humming in agreement.
    “Yeah…” Dennis reached over and picked the cherry out of Robby’s cup, putting it in his mouth and keeping his eyes trained on his, “I guess you are.”

    Robby keeps popping boners whenever Whitaker is around and he hates himself for it.
    A few drinks can dampen feelings of guilt a lot more effectively than he’d like to admit.
