The Upside Down is sealed for good. Vecna is dead...but as far as everyone knows, so is Eddie Munson. And because of that, Steve Harrington's life is falling apart. Steve realises and comes to terms with that he’s been sa’ed in the past but also figures out his sexuality at the same time. He discusses boundaries in a intimacy context when he gets together with Eddie. He learns how to cope with trauma and also becomes more himself in the process. Robin and Eddie take care of him. This is about how people that are close to you are important when you’re in your most emotional and mentally vulnerable moments. Getting help is important and does help in the long run.
