Summary
“Aren’t you gonna mansplain the constellations to me?” Kokichi asks softly after a couple minutes. Kaito glances over at him. His eyes are half-lidded, gazing upward, and he’s frowning just a little bit. His expression and tone don’t match the words he’s saying. Like he’s only halfway committed to being annoying.
“Do you want me to?” Kaito asks, equally soft.
“I don’t know. I just thought you would.”
Kaito looks back at the sky. “I mean, I have plenty to say if you want to hear it. But sometimes it's good to just… lie back and look out at the stars, I guess. You know?”
Kaito and Kokichi excuse themselves from rehab movie night.

Summary
Anytime Kaito hears Kokichi laugh genuinely, or looks at him a little too closely for a little too long- that's the something. The warmth, the fullness, the fluttering– that's what happens to Kaito every single time, even when they argue or shout at each other. The one-hundred percent. The feeling he can neither shake nor identify.
Then, one day, Kokichi playfully blows him a kiss when they make eye-contact during an exam, and Kaito very abruptly identifies the feeling.
“Holy shit,” he mutters, and prays to be able to finish his test.
Kaito drops some hints. Kokichi is weirdly terrible at reading them.

Summary
It’s a split-second thing– his parents initially don’t notice him creeping up behind the sofa, dark hair awkwardly flat on one side from being squashed against his pillow, thumb in his mouth. As soon as they do notice him, his mother is squawking and his father is scooping him up under the arms, hurriedly carrying him back to his bedroom, but Shuichi has already seen what they’d hoped he wouldn’t.
Not that he can quite make sense of it, the violent image of an older girl sawing into another girl’s neck with a dagger, but he’s confused by it and appropriately startled by his parents’ reaction.
He can still hear noises coming from the projector. He doesn’t know why his mother doesn’t just turn it off.
Shuichi Saihara, among others, is chosen to uphold the honor of representing his district in the 53rd annual Hunger Games.

Summary
“It’s funny,” Kokichi says, mumbly and sleep-slurred, and Kaito only realizes that his own eyes have been closed after he opens them, “how we don’t get to go home after this. Because home doesn’t even exist.” He snorts a little on his next exhale. “It’s funny, right?”
No, Kaito thinks, but stays quiet.
And then Kokichi says, “Merry Christmas,” and rolls over.
A beat goes by. Kaito frowns.
“What?”
A few weeks ago, Kaito woke up from a simulation in which he and his friends were forced to brutally murder one another. Now it's Christmas.
Funny how things work.

Summary
Tommy is not how he was. The child, with his small fingers gripping the edges of his favorite book, with his lilting giggles in response to his father’s growly character voices and his warm weight against Phil’s chest, will not exist again. Across time, that child is wailing for his dad through terror and tears and panic, and Phil won’t be there. Phil won’t come for another ten years. This book won’t be touched until Phil is digging through storage bins upon years of living alone, frantic for something of Tommy’s that he’s held onto. It won’t be read to him again until he is too old to listen.
Across time, Tommy gives up on Phil, and Phil gives up on Tommy.
And yet… now they are here.
Tommy goes missing when he is six years old. Thousands of miles and a decade later, it is time for him to come home. It's up to Wilbur, Technoblade and Phil to rebuild that home for him.
They’ve dreamt of reuniting with Tommy for years.
No one realized it would be this painful.

Summary
Two years after losing Merlin to the veil between the worlds, Arthur finally repeals the ban on magic. It should be relatively plain sailing from there, except that it's not: his people still regard magic with distrust, no sorcerer would come forward, and Arthur finds himself unable to appoint a Court Sorcerer. With the councillors breathing down Arthur's neck and the eyes of the magical community watching him, he seeks out the Druids beyond the Ridge of Ascetir, led by a powerful sorcerer named Emrys.
