Arya is in Braavos, learning to be an assassin at the House of Black and White. After gaining back her eyes, the organization sends her to the Gate where she is to play the role of a mummer, only Mercy is quickly distracted by a visiting dignitary who Arya Stark recognizes as Raff the Sweetling. After taking care of that loose end from a girls past, she goes back to the Gate, only to hear two Westerosi men talking about the Lord Commander of the Nights Watch being murdered by his men. A girl must make a decision.
Daenerys was lost in the Dothraki Sea, her wayward dragon refusing to bring her back to Meereen. After wandering for days along the Skahazadhan, eating poisoned berries, and quite possibly miscarrying her lover; Daario’s, child, Dany and Drogon team up to hunt after seeing a Dothraki scout nearby. What happens next, sends Daenerys backward, back toward her past so that she can move forward and embrace her destiny. King’s Landing has fallen, but conquest does not bring peace to Jon’s reign. When he wakes, his gaze turns northward, to the blue-eyed terrors that rise in the frozen north. Meanwhile, another claimant has appeared bearing his elder brother’s face and name, and Dorne seeks to place this boy who calls himself Aegon upon the throne. Some who surround Jon are filled with zealous conviction that he is Azor Ahai reborn, but if Aegon yet breathes when he should lie amongst the dead, perhaps Rhaegar had spoken true when he had proclaimed his firstborn son, and not Jon, as the prince that was promised.
In times of continued strife, Jon is faced with an impossible choice: give up the throne he fought so hard for to a man who might be an impostor, or live to be called a usurper and a kinslayer. One path may save the realm and the other doom it, and even Jon’s dreams cannot tell him with certainty which path leads to salvation.

Act 1 is the story of their childhood, Act 2 picks back up at 7x01 with surprisingly few changes from canon before returning to AU for the rest of the fic. How will Jon and Dany deal with the inevitable adult challenges when they already have such a strong connection and shared past? And will their childhood secret be of any use in the fight against the Long Night?

One who was true heir was gone in the wilderness, beyond the Wall, a broken man bearing mark of queenslayer and kinslayer.
One who dreamed of a good world was dead, a woman who slaughtered a city, who chose fear over love.For ten years Westeros has enjoyed peace. Winners of the game thought nothing can ever change that.
Not even ignoring the will of two peoples in the south, nor even taking land of one people in the north. Winners were wrong.
As they were wrong about certain family being gone.Winners of the game of thrones forgot the words of wisdom: "Nothing lasts."
Update January 2021. - after watching the last season of "Vikings" - D&D should learn from it how to wrap up the character storylines, do bittersweet ending and all that without turning it into a dumpster fire. "Vikings" have also declined in last few seasons, but still managed to stay away from pointless shock value scenes and subversion of expectations.
