Summary
Seliph, after reassuring his companions that he was okay, turned to Ares. He looked apologetic. Sincere. “Thank you,” he said as Ares reclaimed Mystletainn.
Ares weighed his options here. It would take a little effort, but it wouldn’t be too difficult to kill him where he stood. He might die trying though, as he was outnumbered. Besides, he didn’t want to risk Lene’s life.
He decided against that plan. “I wasn’t trying to save you,” was all he said as he walked towards his mare and pulled her closer to Lene by her reins. “You ought to be more careful when confirming your foe has been vanquished, lest he come back for vengeance.”

Summary
When he stepped into the training ring, beautifully lit by moonlight, he found what he was looking for, unsurprisingly. Seliph had a knack for keeping track of all things that involved his cousin.
“Fancy meeting you here, Leif.”
Leif flinched, turning to Ced in a quick motion, aiming the lance in his hands directly at him. His stern expression softened as he recognized Ced. “Oh…” was his only response.
Ced snorted. “That’s all I get for a greeting? A lance to the face and an ‘oh’?”

Summary
Klein’s mind was swimming in all of the future possibilities for Etruria. They could survive the upcoming battle, but what was next? It scared him deeply, to wonder what would become of his country once the war ended. There was a weird sort of stability in chaos—a weird and unending change that was a constant in and of itself. The dangers of wars were many, and he didn't wish for this war to be prolonged any further, but the sense of solace and consistency was almost lulling him. He was watching out for his life on the battlefield, constantly, but it was something adrenaline could carry him through. Politics, however? Those were of a trickier sort.

Summary
Sometimes a sacrifice is needed for the greater good. While sorrow may haunt you over what you lost, oftentimes the knowledge of the good you did for the world is good enough to quell some of that. Looking forward to a better future can give you a stronger hope than a happy ending today would.

Summary
Festivities were always a big deal in Garreg Mach. Aside from the much appreciated recess from classes and responsibilities, the atmosphere never failed to be abuzz with excitement. Today in particular, where each house was to face each other in a friendlier sort of tournament than the usual. It was time for the White Heron Cup.
Throughout the entire moon you could see students scurrying off after class to practice their moves and routines. Some in the secrecy of their rooms, some in the company of their friends. For Lene, it was the latter. Most of the Ashen Steeds had seen her routine at least once. An input here, a suggested change here and there, and definitely more than her fair share of praise. It made the sore feet worth it.

“Then was Lucina a fellow soldier as well?”
“She...Lucina…” Laslow fought against his emotions-the rational part of his brain reminding him that Inigo was not here right now. It was Laslow who was talking to the Princess and Laslow did not have a wife. He screwed his eyes shut, his mouth pulled in a grimace, “I haven’t seen her in years. She was my partner.”
“I’m sorry,” Corrin whispered, “It’s clear you cared for her deeply. You kept calling out for her in your dreams. You kept telling her you were sorry.” She reached out and took his left hand in her own, “I’m sorry she’s not here with you, Laslow.”
