“Not what I meant,” Rick backtracked but it got him wondering. “I meant he can’t have soulmates. You shouldn’t indulge him.”
“He’s our soulmate, dipshit,” Phosphorous said roughly. “Just because he’s metal doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a soul.”
Rick was silent for a moment, unable to wrap his head around what he just heard. “What?”
“We’re soulmates,” Bride repeated, glare not letting up even a bit. “The five of us. Rather unfortunate in my opinion but better than some of the alternatives if you ask me.”
Or, Creature Commando platonic soulfamily AU! But they still don't actually like each other. Rick is not ready to have this many soulmates, let alone for them to not be human.
