“Oh why then? Get to the point.” Percy spat.
Arthur shifted uncomfortably on his feet, “Well he--Fudge–-has been looking for a way to get closer to Dumbledore and his people for a long while. A very long while, indeed. And now he’s finally got a way; with you. You’re young, eager to prove yourself, and–-most importantly–-aligned with Dumbledore. You are being used Percy, I need you to understand this.”
It felt like someone had sucked all the air out of him. For a terrifying moment, he felt the fire in his chest burn out, but then, with a gasping breath, the embers sparked and transformed into a roaring flame. ~
OR: The fight that leads to Percy's estrangement from Percy's POV!
(I wanted to stick as close to canon as possible, so this isn't entirely sympathetic OR unsympathetic to Percy. Percy has flaws can say the wrong things, but the people around him are flawed as well. Overall I tried to make it feel somewhat real :), but it's also dramatic and angsty, don't worry lol.)

~ George felt his annoyance flare up at the nonchalance. This wasn’t good. He should lay off, he should just push past the prick and leave. He didn’t. Instead, George worked on instinct and grabbed Percy’s arm before he could finish the thought.
Percy couldn’t help but wince as George’s nails dug into his skin, he kept his gaze on the floor as he sighed “Yes?”
His tone was flat, empty, but it wasn’t taken as such. Curses flew through George’s brain as the dam finally broke.
“It doesn’t make sense, none of it. How dare you stand there, acting like there’s nothing wrong, acting like he isn’t dead. How dare you live when he isn’t!” George’s voice filled the hall, in the background he vaguely heard people creaking up the stairs, cautiously.
