“No no no, hear me out,” Bucky says. “You wanna get back at them, right? Imagine the following: We date, fall madly in love, then have the most horrendous breakup in history and make them deal with that. They’ll feel terrible because they set us up, and we get to eat free ice cream and see their faces when we eventually tell them we pulled one over them,” Bucky finishes with a smug grin.
“That’s a terrible plan,” Steve says.

Bucky Barnes, currently Captain America, is a war vet with a prosthetic arm, an anxiety disorder, and a serious coffee habit. Steve Rogers, formerly Captain America, is a tiny bundle of attitude who hasn’t really come to terms with the fact that he was de-super-serumed in 1945. Steve wants Bucky to take over his old job and find out what S.H.I.E.L.D. is hiding, Bucky wants to punch Tony Stark in the face, Tony wants to fight the Mandarin, and Clint just wants someone to watch his dog. Well, no one ever said that either love or Avenging would be a walk in the park.

Then he’ll smother your desperate little noises with his mouth, fingers twisting in your hair. Kissing deeply, tongues reaching to declare your filthy intentions. Find his knee with your hand and slide wolfishly up his thigh until you reach the bulge behind his fly. Steve jolts back to the present. The credits are rolling and Bucky is reading them as well. The screen blacks and two fluorescent lights buzz to life. Bucky loosens his hand from Steve’s head, welcoming the world back in.
