18 MILLION tags later....Katsuki is going to therapy!! this is the first in (what i intend to make) a series of MHA characters going to therapy lol. but, of course Bakubro had to go first. of course he did.
our boy, much to his behest, is going to therapy to work on his anger (amongst...other things...) at the non-optional request of his doctor and the UA faculty. because of his heart condition, he needs to learn to become cool as a cucumber. despite his initial resistance, Katsuki quickly finds that therapy can be a useful tool for managing his emotions, and he may even learn a few things about himself along the way.
this fic takes place post-final war, essentially post-the entire manga (i'll come back with edits if anything crazy happens in these last three chapters that change the way i want this fic to go). It was meant to exist only in his mind, shut away behind closed doors, but now this damn stupid nerd awakened that same burning desire and all Katsuki wants, no, needs is to hear that same beautiful nerd says his name how Katsuki always imagines in his head when he jerk off.

He looked insanely guilty at his admission, completely avoiding any and all eye contact. Katsuki is almost grateful because he’s sure his face looks entirely dumbfounded. Royalty? The crest on his necklace implied he was a Midoriya, but, as far as he was aware, the kingdom only had one royal that could be this young, its heir.
Izuku Midoriya was practically a myth in most people’s eyes. Sure, many people knew about him, but he was extremely elusive. Due to being either well-protected or well-hidden, it was rare that anyone actually got a glimpse of him beside those who worked in the Midoriya’s castle, which made it all the more confusing as to why he was here in front of him.

The Underground: a network of vigilantes supported and directed by the Hero Commission to assist in maintaining the structure of Hero Society through any means necessary.
Izuku descended into the Underground after the War, a quirkless medic with no future. Presented with a deal of a lifetime. He entered the doors of Illusion and into the laps of Heroes spilling all their secrets and wants. Strings of Hero Society plucked by the Commission while Izuku and his crew deal with criminals in forgotten areas of the city. Whatever missions the Commission throws at them just a bonus.
There are whispers of a new threat growing in the city and, to make matters worse, Izuku finds himself with the eyes of the Number One hero on him. A slippery slope into something Izuku can't escape.
If there’s anything Izuku has learned as a vigilante and spy, it’s that everything is not what it seems.

Katsuki was chosen to be the leader of an experimental group that is entirely in charge of their own songwriting, production, choreography, and marketing. He chose 7 other members for his team. Eijirou and Hanta were his first picks before going to auditions. Izuku and Kacchan are estranged childhood friends with a mountain of baggage to unpack between them. Hanta took an immediate distaste to idol legacy Shouto, who he believed did not earn his spot on the team. Shouto's trying desperately to get out from under his abusive father's thumb and saw the special group as his best option.
In other words; an idol AU where Kacchan and Deku navigate their difficult past and resolve long-held emotions. Hanta and Shouto learn to live, work, and exist together 24/7 despite having wildly different backgrounds. Slow-burn, eventual smut, lots of miscommunications and drama. Inspired by SKZ and not meant to be accurate/entirely reflective of the idol/trainee process.

Learning Izuku had no quirk at all was a blow to all of them. Inko was worried about her reputation amongst her peers and, much more quietly because she could barely bear to admit it to herself, that this somehow meant something was wrong with her. Hisashi went into denial the second he heard that there was a .0002 percent chance that Izuku could develop a quirk despite the extra feet bones, teeth, and organs. Everything he’d spent a lifetime building crumbling with one doctor’s meeting was unacceptable.
He’d never allow it.
Izuku was only four, he was still trying to figure out what that meant, why all the adults were so upset. So he did what any four year old would do- turned to his mom for comfort and reassurance.
“But I can- I can still be a hero, right?” He asked, eyes wide and holding back tears as his favorite All Might video played on loop in his memory, competing with the doctor’s words that he’d most likely never have a quirk playing on loop. For the first time in his life, his mom didn’t answer him.
Inko just turned away, covering her mouth with one hand as her own tears began to fall. Nothing was ever the same after that day.
