“San Lang!” Fang Xin drops from Xie Lian’s hands as the god falls to his knees at the ghost king’s side. Xie Lian had begun to suspect that the “Lang Ying” following him might just be someone else so he isn't entirely surprised by Hua Cheng’s sudden appearance but why isn't he moving? “San Lang!?” He shakes the ghost king’s shoulder then rolls him onto his back but gets no response. What's wrong? What could be wrong? For an instant he thinks to check if Hua Cheng is breathing …but no, Hua Cheng is in his true form. He is a ghost. He does not need to breathe.
But he is so still, not responding, what if…

“Your Highness!” There is horror in the cry but Xie Lian barely has time or wit enough to register the sound of it before the band gives way completely and he's tumbling to the floor.
There’s the sound of racing feet and an instant later arms wrap around him, pulling him into a tight embrace, the body of the one embracing him shaking with abject terror. For a few moments Xie Lian just hangs limply in the embrace too shocked, first by the band’s release and second by the arms suddenly around him to react. His mind is an empty unintelligible jumble and his body has so longed for comfort that it takes him several moments to realize that this is even real, that the arms encircling him aren’t merely a delusion of his rapidly weakening mind.
Feng Xin he thinks vaguely. Feng Xin came back.
…But no. This isn't Feng Xin.
OR
Wuming finds Xie Lian just after his parents deaths and when the god turns to him for comfort things end up becoming heated between them...
