Summary
It's been almost two months since the Battle of Yavin, and scarcely more than one month since Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin, having barely survived that battle, staged a successful coup against Emperor Palpatine. The Rebel Alliance has been taking advantage of the subsequent chaos where it can. But they know that the new Emperors' attention will return to them soon enough.
Surprised by Emperor Vader on what should have been a routine training mission, and prompted by a strange impulse in the Force, Luke Skywalker surrenders to save his friends. Vader seems strangely uninterested in hurting him, but Luke doesn't know how long that will last, or just what to expect.
He's definitely not expecting "I am your father."

AU continuation of "Playing With Fire." Grand Moff Tarkin survives "A New Hope." He and Darth Vader stage a coup against Emperor Palpatine - for Vader's own freedom and sanity, as much as for any other goal. The coup's consequences are messier than anticipated. And in the meantime, with either the worst or best timing, something's come up about Vader having a son...
This series is much less about sex than its predecessor, and much more about intergenerational trauma; fucked-up people trying sincerely to support each other; and our favorite Sith Lord slouching towards something that may or may not be redemption - whether or not his ruthless lover is able to follow him there.

Darth Vader has, at some point, discovered BDSM. When his schedule allows, he's been spending time at a very discreet sex club somewhere in the Outer Rim, where he has his pick of the Empire's starstruck submissives. But even in a risk-aware consensual context, intimacy with a man like Vader can be a perilous undertaking. Grand Moff Tarkin thinks he's up to the challenge.
(This was just weird porn when it started, and then it got out of hand. Now it's somehow a full-fledged villain romance, complete with soft moments, difficult feels, sand jokes, all the awkward logistical problems that naturally result from a disabled and traumatized Sith Lord trying to figure out how to relationship, and Vader being constantly extra about everything including kink.
