    Great. Fantastic, one might even say. Everyone wants to look up at the sky, point to the shiny thing in the middle, and say 'Hell yeah, that's my DAD'

    But life is never easy, and being spawned into existence by a big ball of fire doesn't make it better. It just makes you less likely to get sunburnt, and more likely to be spat on by Clarisse La Rue

    ...Mind you, being less than five feet tall doesn't really help. All things considered, he's probably the perfect spitting height.

    This is a story about Michael's life from ages 9 to 23. It follows all the ups and the downs of being a demigod, including the many times you get strung up a in tree by your brother, those moments where you possibly, kind of start looking at your best friend like you want to kiss him, and the occasional points in life where smacking someone upside the head with an untuned ukelele looks really appealing. You know what I mean.

    Now, neither of their keys are working for them to leave on their own, and they'll have to actually work through the story to get out.

    Juno’s voice sounds like glass in freefall, just a moment before shattering, and Peter thinks his heart might be made of the same fragile material as the lady's throat. He reaches out a hand to confirm what he already knows, that Juno is too warm, and feels the sticky heat of fever settle against his palm.

    Once he’s off the couch, he makes a beeline for the bathroom, turning the water as hot as it can go and soaking his hands until he can’t feel illness coating them anymore, scrubbing at the skin until he can’t feel Juno’s betrayed smile nestled in his heart anymore, staring at his reflection until he can’t feel his pulse in his fingertips anymore.

    Juno adjusts to space and all of the dangers it brings, major and microscopic. Peter adjusts to this new Juno and memories long buried.

    He shakes his head and tries to focus on Buddy, pen racing across the paper notebook Juno had asked him to use to take down notes.

    (Nureyev is fairly certain he hasn’t taken physical, analog notes since he managed to get his hands on a comms at age ten, and the only reason his handwriting isn’t completely atrocious is due to his constant practice of alias’ signatures).

    But Juno had asked so nicely (well, he hadn’t asked so much as curled into Nureyev’s side and whined when he mentioned the family meeting, but it was still very cute), and he never could say no to Juno Steel.
