    The liquid of the vat drains around me. I choke and gasp, my lungs shuddering at the new sensation of air and gravity, until the glass of the vat that has formed me slides open. I fall, not yet knowing strength, splayed the across concrete floor and shiver. I have no word for it, the air that brushes against my wet skin as I shudder under the weight of my own body.
