Summary
Maul’s life isn’t perfect, but it’s fine. He’s fine. He has a decent job, a roof over his head, and a friend he would do anything for. He also semi-regularly assassinates people on behalf of the Sith and refuses to think too long about his childhood, but that’s fine too.
Obi-Wan Kenobi would consider himself to have a good life - he’s a Jedi, a high school teacher, and the owner of approximately eighty various Sudoku puzzle books, so a better life is hard to imagine. More than that, he would consider himself to be a good person. But even a good person has their limits, and he’s slowly being pushed towards his by his across-the-hall neighbor.
A story about trust, betrayal, injuries, and healing, though not necessarily in that order. A story about friendship - a story about love.

Obi-Wan's lightsaber remained clipped to his belt, and it wasn’t until he was standing right next to Maul that Ahsoka realized that neither of them were about to fight.
He pushed back his hood, revealing a familiar face, though slightly weathered from five years in the Tatooine desert, with a few gray strands in his hair, and his facial hair more stubble than beard… but Ahsoka barely noticed those changes as she stared into the eyes of the man who had once been her Master’s Master.
Eyes that were now a bloodshot gold.
“Hello there, Ahsoka,” he said with a smile that was far too cold, a smile that caused Ahsoka’s blood to freeze in her veins as she sensed the Dark Side wrapping itself around him like a heavy cloak. “It’s been a long time, hasn’t it?”

Illya pivoted, a snarl curling at his lips. Napoleon stood close to the roof vent, in his current chosen form: a fairly tall human male, handsome and broad-shouldered, with slicked dark hair and a lazy, beckoning smile, dressed in a sharply fashionable suit tapered down at his hips, so dark that the fabric seemed to ripple against the night sky, like an angular gash in prime reality.
Napoleon sighed as Illya lunged, sidestepping at the last moment, then the air distorted as Illya snapped the haft of the spear around, catching nothing. Napoleon reappeared on the edge of the building, balancing on his heels; from his shoulders unfurled great, ink-dark wings that were as empty as his suit against the sky, neither feathers nor furled leather. His gaze lingered over Illya’s wings, a look of pure avarice.

Summary
Set in season 2 after Oswald is released from Arkham. In all his sweet, helpless niceness.
After being turned away by Butch and Ed Oswald doesn't find his father, instead he stays in Gotham on the streets until Butch takes pity on him. Unfortunately he accidentally takes the fall for a murder and is sent to Blackgate. Hugo Strange is curious how this new docile Oswald will make it through a prison with a different type of bad guy than Arkham, so he may have had a hand in getting the man sentenced rather quickly.
Oswald is not prepared for a place like Blackgate, not the way that he is now. Luckily for him, Jim Gordon also happens to be there, and the man is sure to protect him. At least he hopes so.
Jim is just trying to keep himself alive and get out of prison as fast as he can. To clear his name. Oswald Cobblepot is a complication that he doesn't need, but the man is so helpless he can't bring himself to leave him to... whatever might happen to him.
Also, he may have a soft spot for him.
I don't know what I'm doing folks. Gotham has taken over my life :D I just so badly wanted Nice Oswald to interact with Jim.
