Summary
REVISED
Jane moves to Quantico to begin her new life as an FBI instructor, Maura follows her because they're partners. Where one of them goes, the other follows. But a miscommunication leads Jane to believe the pair are more than just work partners, they're in a romantic relationship. Maura hasn't the foggiest clue. Domestic fluff, honest miscommunication, and lots of talking ensue but just as they start to get everything sorted, forces beyond either of their control threaten to pull them apart.

The BAU has a new agent assigned to them against their wishes. After-all they don't need a new agent, especially one with a file so classified they can't see anything but the agent's name in it. But Strauss's orders are Strauss's orders. It would help if this Daisy would stop taking stupid risks and acting like she's bored. Of course Daisy really is bored and isn't exactly allowed to mention that after fighting aliens, Inhumans, and Hydra, dealing with regular serial killers is kind of low stakes.

Daisy could live being out of step with everyone else. She'd never been in step with people before, not for long enough to matter. Being changed and dragged into the Supernatural world hadn't changed much. In some ways, it was cleaner even than her human life. She was not ready for the weirdly friendly 'vegetarians'.
Alice would quite like everyone to stop looking at her like she's lost her mind. She saw a future worth pushing some dominoes to reach. Everything is completely under control, thank you very much.
Jasper made peace with following the beat of his wife's drum decades ago. No matter how surprising it might be. A heads-up would have probably been nice, however. Mostly, he does have questions about how he's the one ending up with the human friends.

He can barely think, his brain switched off from exhaustion and terror, reduced to sheer instincts, following orders and a horrible routine, ingrained into his very body by now. He is carrying Lewis, a grown man thrown over his back like a sack of potatoes. He has no idea how far he has been walking, focused solely on the next step and on hopefully avoiding shells falling all over them. There is an ambulance in sight, waiting for them, hands reaching to help him take Lewis off him without injuring him farther, and settle him promptly into the back of the car. He raises his head to look at the driver and freezes in shock, certain that he finally has snapped, that his mind could not take it anymore and went straight into hallucination.
The driver is a woman, not an uncommon sight those days, but this particular woman has no business being here, in the middle of most literal hell.
