After having their consciousness transported into the realm of the King, Derek goes against the script and turns back from the library to pull Avery from his trance in the church with his own two hands. From there, the story as we know it twists, the pair navigating an unfamiliar realm together when they were never meant to.
Through ever-expanding libraries, tropical jungles, and the infamous orb of nothing, it's a race against the clock to finish what was started, and rewrite the fate of so many other Knights and Princes that stumbled upon the King.

Sitting just before him was the boy, his green eyes glowing slightly in the dark as he eyed the tired man. Grumbling, Tommy made no move to shoo him off since he was completely harmless, and instead closed his eye again. The soft movements across wood kept him awake, and the feeling of a thin body attempting to curl up with him jolted him up.
“Oi! What the hell are you doing, stay on that side!” he exclaimed, pointing at the opposite end of the small space. The child had quickly backed away from him when he sat up, and was now looking at him with a sense of hurt in his features before dejectedly sliding over to the opposite end and curling up by himself, clutching his tail between his hands. Tommy did not feel a prick of guilt.

Summary
Tommy always thought that in death he would be free, like a bird let out of a cage, but he was stupid and naive and wrong. And as he stared into the void with burning eyes, wishing to be free from his cage, the void stared back.
And gave in.

Summary
Jack, the "Makes a mess wherever he goes" guy, continues to mess up in ways he doesn't think he can recover from. With his powers suddenly going rampant and he and his friend's desperate search for the New Guardian leading to dead end after dead end, Jack ends up farther from home than he had ever wanted to be.
Stuck in a forgotten world of magic, on an island called Berk with his powers now depleted, Jack has to look for answers he isn't sure he will ever get. He just hopes he can make it back home and receive a little closure before the Dragons eat him.
Unfortunately, the guy named Hiccup he keeps running into is far more of a headache than dodging dragons could ever be.
