    Just weeks after the chaos that was their last visit to Wild's Hyrule, the heroes find themselves in a place that's all too familiar, and all too different. To make matters worse, they can't find Wild, and this new, all-too-young hero that shares his face is posing more questions than answers.

    [or, Twilight is trying, really, Time is struggling, Warriors is the only one with braincells for some reason, and now we have two, equally messed up versions of Wild to deal with. Fun for the whole family.]

    “Yes, that much was obvious.” Four deadpanned, crossing his arms. “It doesn’t take a genius to figure that out.”
    “Excuse me? Are you calling me dumb?”
    “What? No-”
    “Can I finish?” Pinkie shouted, and Four rolled his eyes. “As I was saying- we aren’t from Faron. We aren’t even from this era. Ugh, look. Usually we have Sky with us and it’s easier to explain, but we went off on our own to ask some questions and of course somehow ended up bumping into you.” He sighed, twisting a ring on his finger. “I’m Link. This,” he jabbed a thumb at Four, “is Link. You are Link. And we have six other Links back at the inn.”

    Basically the chain meets Wild (original I know) but its really dysfunctional and Wild is going through it (so is everyone else).

    “I’m in a time loop,” Link calmly and quietly starts. Not calmly Twilight realizes, Link’s mind recoils at the mere mention of it. However, some part of him is so innately exhausted that it’s numb at the concept. “Upon either my own death or Gannon's I return in time. Over time the curse has strengthened, making the time loops more and more unhinged. The circumstances of my awakening are different every time, but are rarely fortunate. No one’s been able to so much as notice the curse, but I think it’s safe to say it’s evolved to carry a very potent curse of misfortune. There’s more to the curse, but it’s powerful and inconsistent enough it’s hard to pin down with a simple name.”

    “A time loop? Like the Hero of Time?” Twilight asks, stunned. It explains Link’s vague words earlier and the aged sense to his mind. It must be far more than just taxing on the mind. No wonder he was so distraught earlier. He’s been -

    Twilight projects as much serenity and support he can before he asks, “How long have you been in it?”

    Link looks to the side, pained but also achingly shamed. “Long time.”
