He holds up a pair of fancy looking handcuffs, broken in half with the wires inside ripped apart and still firing off sparks. He dangles them in front of him like a small kid, looking guilty of all things.
“I kind of broke this on accident. Well, it was on purpose, actually. But it also looks kind of expensive, so I’m real sorry about that…” He pauses, blinking. “Uh, what’s going on in here?”
“I’m getting sucked dry,” John deadpans.

Neteyam panted, the blood now dripping from his hand to the sand below. He waited for Aonung to say something, to yell back, to call him a freak, but instead he felt a pair of lips crash roughly into his own.
