Summary
You honestly just wanted to get through school like any other student until you could graduate and go traveling with your Stand Storm. However, altercation with another Stand user left you connected to your 'soulmate' in the name of a lunatic. As if such a thing really existed. Whether or not it did, you certainly had to deal with strange items appearing in your life, like a trail of demented bread crumbs intending to lead you to your one-and-only.
You couldn't care less, right up until you found out your things disappeared as well. And, one morning, you woke up to your Stand gone and a different, unfamiliar one left in her place. This, of course, led you on a wild goose-chase as you tried to catch up to your adventuring soulmates and get back the one being who always had your back.
Though, maybe, along the way, you might realize there was space in your heart and life for more people. And just maybe, family was what you made it, not what you were born into.

hi so i went back and reread the original Soft Hearts, Electric Souls and to literally no ones surprise it fucking sucks. so im rewriting it, slowly but surely. im changing the name of the stand, but not its overall abilities or appearance because at that point i might as well write a whole new fic and i am way too lazy to do that. also made the reader character less fuckin irritating lmao. also got rid of all the late 2010s slang because holy shit cringe alert. if you were an original reader who ended up finding this one, ok again i am so fucking sorry, and also hey hi welcome back good to see you how you been :D

It started with a job, then a small one-bedroom house, and then he learned as much of the customs as he could of the planet he was on. They really seemed to hate the Jedi, they seemed to enjoy war, and they had the most fascinating food.
Their language was one he picked up in bits and pieces over the next three years. Learning Mando’a was not exactly easy, not when he was positive at least fifty different words meant dagger or stab, but he enjoyed the challenge. One unfortunate incident with the language had left him rather flustered when a twi'lek had asked him if he wanted to play with her dagger with a suggestive look. He was still positive he had mistranslated something in his head, but the time he had merely smiled politely and quickly walked away.

Together, they have to learn to survive under the cruel reign of a vindictive mobster's son, who is particularly interested in humiliating the both of them; but when rescue comes, they'll have to deal with the fallout of their actions - and all the consequences thereafter.
