Daniel undoes his belt as heat curls low in his stomach at the sight of Armand. He unzips his jeans and clumsily shoves them down his thighs, careful not to trip in the process. He steps out of the pantlegs when he reaches the edge of the bed, leaving him in only his boxers and the baggy blue shirt. He makes no attempt to pick up his pants. Armand should be grateful that he even bothered to put his shoes in their ‘proper place’.
The only thought on his mind is joining his lover on the bed, lazing in the sun like a cat sunning its soft unprotected belly, not a care or fear in the world.

The photos were amateurish, taken with an instant camera. Daniel wasn’t even that young in them, constrained as his family must have been by the development of consumer instant cameras and the fact that a massive wolf and her cub would hardly be accommodated in a human photography studio even if they were accompanied by an otherwise very normal human man. There was a roundness to his features and patchiness to his fur that gave away that the Daniel in these photos was still a pup even though in one photo, with him sitting on his haunches next to a man Armand knew to be his father, he must’ve been nearly the length of a fully grown man.
