Osamu holds his ground as the man stalks closer, dropping the stick in favour of placing a hand on the hilt of the hunting knife strapped to his waist. “Alright, I’ll bite. Why?”
The man stops a meter away, cocking his head. Up close, the embroidery on his robes shimmers like a living thing. Like a snake, curling and winding around him. “Because, Osamu, you smell like death.”

He holds his spatula in a death grip as he stares down Suna across the kitchen.
To his credit, Suna barely blinks as he looks up from his phone where he’s perched precariously on the back of a chair at Osamu’s bistro table. “You couldn’t wait to break up with me until after I drank my coffee?”

Kiyoomi glances over at Atsumu. Atsumu isn’t looking at him; he’s holding two spicy ramen packages up to his face, squinting at the ingredients lists because he refuses to bring his glasses anywhere public.

Summary

Oikawa Tooru respects the unwinding institution. But when his boyfriend is taken away to be unwound, he must question that system and his beliefs.
This is a future where, when a child reaches the age of 14, they can be “unwound” - all of their body parts will be used in organ transplant. With the adults turning a blind eye and society working against them, teens must ban together to fight for their lives.
