You were once a super soldier, a crucial cog in the works of Taskforce 141; until a severely traumatic experience while deployed left you utterly broken. His abandonment wounded you almost as grievously as your torture at the hands of the Russians. It took you nearly two years to even begin your return to normal, suffering through the worst of it alone, leaving 141 behind in your past life in an effort to heal.

A droning laugh-track and her parents' laughter mixing in. His eyes sometimes, sliding to her, sitting in the hallway and peeking in.
She can’t remember him ever laughing.

Summary
It was only a matter of time before the military caught wind of what you were doing. As a scientist, hired by one of the local gangs, you were instructed on making a serum that would enhance the body and mind. After successfully managing to produce a dosage for testing, you'd lost your opportunity to experiment. With your guard on the run, you're left in the underground bunker, trapped between the infiltration team, and the gang. Gunfire ensues, and you're unable to do much else than hide.
When your trembling manages to alert one of the soldiers to your location, some terrifying behemoth of muscle of a skull mask, you're left with that fight-or-flight instinct. When running becomes unattainable, you do the unthinkable and inject him with the serum, hoping it buys you enough time to flee elsewhere and barricade yourself until the fight is over.
But you find out very quickly that the serum has unexpected side effects, and you're the only one that can cure him.

Scientist stuck in an enemy lab doses Ghost with their experimental drug as she tries to escape. It’s an enhancement serum that Simon tries to fight but can’t. You’re the only thing that brings him relief.
