Summary

Violet will have to rely on her wits and what little strength she has to succeed, in spite of all of the doubters. The world expects her to die. But a Sorrengail never dies.
A/N: this is a rewrite of the first book of the saga. Full disclosure: while the first book had some decent ideas, the book itself I found lacking in certain areas. So this story is a rewrite, in my own style. There will be some changes to some of the lore and characters, still trying to keep the style of the source but merging it with my own style.

It's only ever made his life harder, and gods know his life was never going to be easy in the first place. He's better off swallowing it. If he never uses it, surely he can't drown in it. He can just not use it. He can be a rogue and push down all the magic and it won't have to matter that there's celestial power in him. No problem. It's a foolproof plan, right up until his freshman year. Then everything starts to go off the rails. But he's got this, surely. Definitely.
