Summary
"If this is it," Shane whispered, so quietly only Ilya could hear, "you won't face a single second of it alone."
Ilya closed his eyes. His fingers tightened around Shane's hand with everything he had left.
He saw the fear in Ilya’s eyes.
Then he saw nothing.

It was supposed to be an ordinary flight. Instead, it becomes the worst day of their lives.
They were never meant to be on the same plane. Then the unthinkable happens. It goes down.
As terrified passengers flee the wreckage, Shane refuses to abandon the man he loves, even as rescuers and survivors alike order him to get out. Trapped beneath twisted metal, Ilya is running out of time. And while they wait for help, the secret they've spent years protecting slips into the hands of strangers with phones.
In an instant, the whole world is watching. Hockey can burn. The headlines can wait.
Shane Hollander has exactly one job: keep Ilya alive.

Summary
Then his phone started blowing up.
His mom was on him immediately about the summer schedule—photoshoots in Toronto, sponsor appearances, youth camps, PR events for the Voyagers. The team was calling about post-season press. Everyone wanted a piece of Shane Hollander, the perfect golden boy, the disciplined athlete who always said the right thing and smiled for the cameras.
Standing in his apartment, watching his screen light up over and over, Shane snapped. He didn't understand why he was hyperventilating or why he felt like he was losing his mind, but he knew with certainty that if he let his mom or the team control him for one more second, he was going to shatter into pieces.
He didn't explain himself, nor did he answer a single text.
Shane tapped into his settings, pulled up his contacts, and went down the line blocking everyone. His mom. His agent. The Voyagers' PR manager. Ilya. He booked a flight to Kansai, packed three shirts and his passport into a bag, and left his phone face down on the kitchen counter. He was getting on a plane to Kyoto for one reason: to figure out what the fuck was wrong with him.

Summary
I do not think you’re happy here. Not in a way that matters. But I have a good feeling about New York. Don’t you?
J.J. had never wanted to leave the Voyageurs. It was the team he'd been drafted to, and it was supposed to be the team he retired from. They're his hometown team—his second family. But when an unwanted trade sends him to the New York Admirals, he's forced to face some uncomfortable truths about the toxic environment he'd left behind.
Thrown into a group of friends who love and support each other unconditionally, J.J. finds some important things he didn't even realize he'd been missing all along—a community, a home, a piece of himself. And maybe, if he can be brave enough, a person to love who sees him in a way no one else ever has.
