Back before they were heroes, before there was even a Hero Association, Saitama and Mumen went to the same middle school. Unable to walk away from injustice, Mumen offered Saitama his protection from the bullies that often targeted him.
Maybe it wasn’t needed, but it’s a good memory to look back on.
