Summary
“Tell me what you're thinking,” Husk says, mouth softened, so fucking smooth in how he says it, it makes Angel's heart vault over.
“I wanna figure out when I don't want sex,” he finally says and sounds out the words against his palate, weird as they are, “or the ways in which I don't want sex so I want ya to fuck me whenever. Like, surprise me with it. It won't mean anything if that's what worries ya, like it's me, it’ll be just a way to figure things out.”

Summary
It’s like a knife to the gut, seeing in real time how Mickey doesn’t trust him as much.
“I’m glad someone was there for you.” Is all Ian has as he tries to stop his eyes from watering.
“Yeah, you sure as hell weren’t.” He spits out, and it’s angry and mean and yeah, fuck, it’s true, isn’t it? Mickey was in here all fucking alone, while Ian didn’t even bother to visit. Spent all his time missing Mickey, but trying to forget he ever existed. At the time, it seemed the best thing for both of them. Allowing a clean break, letting them both move on.
Turns out that ‘moving on’ is a little different when one person is locked up.
Ian swallows, wiping at a tear before it has time to fall. “I know.”
“See, this is fucking why I didn’t want to talk about this.” Mickey mutters, shuffling closer in an attempt to console and help.
///
Ian and Mickey may be back together in prison, but they still have a lot to talk about so that the past won't keep hurting them.

Summary
"What the fuck."
Mickey groans around the cigarette between his lips, almost growling as he blinks blearily down at his phone, face down on the concrete below him.
His day hasn't even fucking started yet.
He's dropped his phone a hundred times since they bought upgrades a year ago, but he's never heard it make that sound when it fell before.

Summary
“I wish you had gone to juvie.”
There was one of those automated clap-tracks on the television as another contestant got the question correct. Gallagher’s eyes were dark as the blue lights of the television screen threw weird shadows onto his face. Mickey wished, almost idly, that there was more lighting in the Milkovich household, if just so that Gallagher didn’t look so ominous. He picked up the remote and muted the TV.
A canon-divergent story from 1x09, in which Tony Markovich suspected foul play and coerced an unwilling Mickey Milkovich into revealing the truth about Kash Karib.

Summary
“Why the hell are you here, Ian?”
Mickey’s tone is defeated, and his shoulders barely hold their shape. He’s tired. Exhausted, really. Ian can see that in every line of his body, every curve of his face.
There’s so much that Ian wants to say to him, so much he wants to scream across this phone line connecting them, but he can’t. His head is a mess, in more ways than one, and no matter how fast he tries to parse through his tidal wave of emotions, he can’t figure them out.
He broke up with Mickey. Right?
Only now, he can’t really remember why.
“I don’t know,” Ian says honestly, and hopes it’s enough.
(It’s not.)
