Summary
Crowley and Aziraphale were alive, and they didn’t have to fight in a war, or find a misplaced Antichrist, or save the world. Instead they were dining together and enjoying one another’s company, drinking champagne and listening to “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square” being played beautifully on the piano at the Ritz. Life was actually very good for both of them, at least right now, in this particular moment.

"Crowley points to the sky. “Listen.. d'you hear that?”
Aziraphale scoffed, “I don't hear anything.”
"That's the point.. no nightingales.”
Aziraphale knew it was a lost cause. He knew there was no way to convince Crowley, no sheer numbers of eternities together could persuade them. He couldn't even look at them.
“You idiot.” Crowley desperately tried to stop his voice from trembling. He felt sick. “We could have been.. us .” He knew this would be his last chance. Possibly ever."

The kiss happens and Crowley and Aziraphale cry together and then get drunk and talk about the kiss and their feelings and they listen to hozier and make up and fall asleep together
