Summary
Ichigo sleeps, obviously, but—first with the nightmares of his mom dying, and needing to take care of the girls in the middle of the night when they were little, and then Isshin’s increasingly aggressive “training” over the years—he doesn’t sleep deeply. Not in his own house, and certainly not anywhere outside of it either. He’s learned to get shut eye when and where he can, but he’s never so deep under that he can’t snap to awareness in an instant if he needs to.
It often leaves him feeling restless, a little strung out and tense, but it’s fine. He’s gotten used to it. He’s long-since learned how to walk the knife’s edge of exhaustion.
But.
But not at the Urahara Shoten, apparently.

Summary
He knows he could have called Maddie and she would have been there, though the memory of her disappointment last time stopped him. As for everyone else—even if he weren’t prohibited from talking to them by his lawyer, Buck doubts anyone would have come. The last time they talked was when they ran into each other in the grocery store a week back, and, since Buck is not eager for a repeat of that interaction, he doesn’t even consider calling anyone in to hold his hand for what is, he tells himself, probably just another little blip on his road back to the 118.
He is able to convince himself of this up until the moment Dr. Gutierrez walks into his room and says, “Well, Evan, you just can’t seem to do anything the easy way, can you?”
Because, as it turns out, there is a circumstance under which a tiny clot that doesn’t cause you to vomit blood in front of all of your friends and family is worse than three big ones that do: that circumstance is called ‘being on blood thinners.’

Summary
Soap is dead on his feet.
He’s doing a passable job hiding it, but Ghost can tell. Maybe it’s because he knows exactly what Soap’s gone through in the past week, and maybe it’s because he’s been around him long enough to see through his false bravado, but Soap is struggling.
So when Ghost opens the door to the hotel room Laswell booked for them and sees only one bed, he only cringes a little.-or- There's only one bed, and Ghost and Soap get the cuddle they've been needing.
